Head of Functional and Reconstructive Urology Section at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona
Dr. Lluís Peri has a degree in Medicine from the University of Barcelona and is a specialist in Urology from the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Defense of the doctoral thesis “Development of transvaginal hybrid NOTES nephrectomy” in 2016.
He has completed his training at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Prof. C. Chapple). He currently holds the position of Head of the Functional and Reconstructive Urology Section at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. His areas of interest are urologic reconstructive and urethral surgery, functional and prolapse surgery, robotic surgery, and kidney transplantation. He is coordinator and professor of the Master’s Degree in Donation and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells.
He regularly participates as a teacher in master’s degrees and courses on renal transplantation and reconstructive and functional urological pathology. He is coordinator of the Functional and Reconstructive Urology Section of the Catalan Society of Urology, as well as a member of SINUG, EAU Section of Transplantation and the Renal Transplantation and Female, Functional and Urodynamic Urology working groups of the Spanish Society of Urology.
He is co-author of the development of bladder diary in the form of an eDM3D mobile application. He participates as a researcher in the study “Clinic Validation of Surgical Robot” (RETOS MINECO), as well as in multiple studies related to functional urological pathology and kidney transplantation.
