Specipig welcomed more than 150 entrepreneurs and professionals from the life sciences arena to its facilities in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) for the CataloniaBio networking barbeque (#CataloniaBioBBQ). The event, held on the 23rd of July, also featured Director General of Research for the Government of Catalonia Josep Maria Martorell.

In this relaxed setting, Specipig CEO and CataloniaBio board member Jaume Amat thanked everyone for coming and making it the not-to-be-missed event for professionals in the sector before the summer holidays.

Ignasi Biosca, president of CataloniaBio and CEO of Reig Jofre, also thanked the board for their hard work and dedication, which has helped consolidate the association and promote new initiatives like the Hospital Connection programme, the Lessons Learned series of debates, and participation in the RIS3CAT strategy. Biosca also ensured that, despite the difficulties the sector is having in finding public funding and investors, the future is bright.
